Ruiru residents on Wenesday gathered at Ruiru Social Hall for an entrepreneur seminar organised by the area Member of County Assembly (MCA), Joe Mutuga.
The seminar aimed at training entrepreneurs on how to invest and manage the few resources they earn.
Speaking at the function Mutuga said that the seminar will help residents to make good use of the funds given by both national and county government.
The MCA said that he is ready to help young people in the area who mainly stay idle in the town thereafter involving themselves in crime.
“Do not involve yourselves in crime instead find something constructive and engage in it,” said Mutuga,
“Your children depends on you we have Juakali industries here in Ruiru and also we have very many industries that have come up and they all need manpower. These industries are able and willing to provide job opportunities to you but they cannot employ you if you are not sober,” urged Mutuga.
The seminar was attended by more than 300 residents, of whom most of them were young people.
This seminar comes some months after the MCA had organized another seminar which involved the small and medium enterprises in the area.
