A member of Uasin Gishu County Assembly want governor Jackson Mandago to issue a state of the county address before the end of the Assembly's term.

The Kamagut MCA Jeremiah Sang said the governor need to update the Assembly on the progress of the county for the past four years.

Speaking at the Assembly buildings,Thursday, Sang who is also the chairman of the Assembly's Finance Committee said the governor's address will help in reviewing county performance as the five year term comes to an end.

"I will be seeking to table a motion to have the governor deliver an address to the assembly over the development projects initiated since 2013," noted Sang.

This comes just days after the Assembly passed a motion seeking to hold a one day meeting with CeC's a Chief Officers so as to get an update of departmental implementation as well as deliberate on the budget progress reports.

The law allows the governor and the Senator to address the County Assembly over the progress of the county and other devolution related matters.
