Kikuyu MCA Binary Wainaina has called on the government to ban agencies recruiting Kenyans to work in the Middle East from operating in the country.
He spoke after a 21-year-old from Kikuyu arrived from Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
She claimed she met a hostile reception from her employer.
The girl claimed she was raped more that 10 times and brutally beaten everyday leaving her with scars on her body.
She is now seeking Sh85,000 to undergo a surgery to determine the health status of her kidney.
Speaking during the fundraising exercise at Kikuyu Give Hope Hall where family friends and well wishers gathered for the fund raiser towards the girl's treatment, Wainaina said what is going on in the Middle East can be equated to colonialism.
He said Kenyans rush there to seek for jobs but when they get there they meet hostile receptions and difficult lives under their employers.
He said that the government should consider abolishing those agents in towns who connect people to those jobs to curb the increased cases of suffering and deaths among Kenyans.
He said that poverty is the main drive for people seeking to go to such countries.
Mr Wainaina said he would table a motion in the County Assembly to ensure the agents within Kiambu are banned stating that all counties should do the same.
"I will take this debate to the County Assembly because it is really sad to see what our people go through," he said.
"I will also talk to Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wa so that he can table a motion in Parliament to abolish these agents."
He contributed Sh40,000 towards the girl's surgery.
