Addressing journalists at his office today, Mwangi said that everyone named in the Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC) report must step aside.

He said that the named individuals will interfere with the investigations if allowed to be in office.

“All the individuals implicated in EACC graft report must step aside, there no excuse when it comes to corruption,” he said.

The MCA said that corruption continues to paint negatively the image of the country and called on the government to wipe it out.

He said that just like other crime, corruption perpetrators must be dealt with according to the law.

Mwangi accused some leaders of being selfish and using public resources to enrich themselves, their families and cronies.

He asked President Kenyatta to spearhead the war and ensure accountability and transparency in use of public resources.

The MCA said that they will formulate stringent laws meant to curb corruption at bay. He said that they will not allow some few leaders to grab and misuse public resources in their watch.

He called on leaders across the country to support war against graft instead of politicising it.
