In a phone interview on Saturday, Matinga said the poles along the Omogonchoro-Nyamarambe road with must be moved with utmost urgency.

"I wonder why Kenya Power doesn't want to relocate the electricity poles along the Omogonchoro-Nyamarambe road which do not only pose a risk to residents but other road users too. I think they should do something about the matter," said Mating'a.

The Kemera ward MCA further urged the public to exercise extra caution while using the road, especially during this rainy season.

"This is a rainy season and having the electricity lines near trees may be very dangerous to road users that is why I urge my people to be extra cautious while using the road," added Mating'a.
