Esise ward MCA Joseph Sokoro has asked Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to transfer the current police officers serving in the region.
Mr Sokoro said the officers have served in the area for a long period without ending crime.
“The officers serving in my ward are very lazy. Matiang’i should consider deploying new officers to the area and remove the current lazy, drunk and corrupt officers who have failed to end crime in the region,” he said.
He assured that he won’t rest until the rogue officers are moved from the area.
"My people will not continue losing their property to criminals as police watch. Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru should also intervene and asked Matiang’i to deploy new security officers who are experienced enough and ready to work to protect people’s lives and property,” he added.
He asked residents to report the lazy officers to his office so that he can make a list on those who should be transferred from the area with immediate effect.
