An MCA from Nakuru County has called on the police to investigate certain leaders whom he has linked to cattle rustling in the area.
Mr Njuguna Gicamu of Nyota ward in Kuresoi took to his Facebook page on Monday to vent his anger over the vice after one of his constituents was attacked and injured by cattle rustlers on Saturday.
Gicamu claimed that there were certain leaders who could be inciting the rustlers in a bid to whip up emotions ahead of the 2017 polls.
"I want to thank the general public of Kuresoi in their efforts in the fight against ethnicity and have been living in harmony but I can authoritatively say that some of our leaders in Kuresoi should be investigated over their utterances," read part of the post.
During the Saturday incident, the old man was attacked at Temoyetta village by the rustlers who left an arrow lodged on his body.
