Rigoma MCA Benson Sironga has accused area MP of allegedly handling other elected leaders casually, besides failing to involve them on matters development.
Speaking at his area of representation on Wednesday, Sironga accused Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire of ‘lacking’ respect and mishandling them on crucial matters pertaining development.
He said the MP had put his developmental focus on only three wards among them Gachuba, Manga and Kemera, and ignored Rigoma and Gesima wards on allegations that he received few votes from the areas.
“Arrogance is never compatible with leadership, and it will be essential if the area MP handled elected leaders with some dignity. He has been ignoring my calls and sometimes responding to my pleas with a lot of bitterness. He was elected to serve the entire constituency and not a section,” he said.
Sirong’a added that many MCAs from the region were finding it difficult to execute their mandate due to overwhelming demands from the area residents on matters that belong to MP as part of his mandate.
“Whenever we have bad roads or lack of bursaries to students, residents do not want to know about the MP, they divert their fury to MCAs. I am completely unable to reach the MP because he is not ready to work with us,” he said.
However, the MP, through his Personal Assistant Justus Omiti termed the allegations as ‘strange’, and accused the MCA of dragging the MP to his ‘woes’.
