Hospital Ward MCA J.B Mwangi has warned that gambling could impact negatively on youths, insisting that many have lost their hard earned cash through it.
He also says that many youths might take long to recover out of gambling, which he claims that has attracted millions of youths across the country.
"I am seeing a situation where we are losing a generation that is promising to gambling. Many youths have ventured into it and this may have a negative impact in the social-economic lives if not controlled," he told his supporters in Thika town last week.
"The government should not keep quiet over this because it is even dangerous than terrorism. Relevant agencies should crack a whip to ensure we have saved our future generation from this menace," he added.
His sentiments comes after Kiambu governor William Kabogo raised similar concerns while urging youths to engage in genuine income generation activities.
