President Uhuru Kenyatta can only hold dialogue with opposition leaders over development issues, this is according to Uasin Gishu County Assembly leader of majority Josphat Lowoi.
Speaking at the Assembly buildings in Eldoret on Tuesday, the Karuna Mibeki MCA further said any dialogue between Jubilee and NASA top leadership on power sharing and elections would be a waste of time.
The MCA further dismissed threats by a section of NASA legislators that of President Kenyatta declines to heed to dialogue calls they will go ahead with their swearing-in plans.
"I am in support of the President's stand that dialogue is restricted to issues to do with how the country can move forward by improving infrastructure, addressing unemployment among the youths among other development issues," Lowoi said.
"...but anything concerning how to share government positions or having another election would be a waste of time as Kenyans are tired and want to move forward," he added.
There has been calls for dialogue between the President and NASA leaders so as to cool political temperatures that resulted from the disputed August 8 general elections and the controversial repeat Presidential poll for October 26 which NASA boycotted.
