Ahero ward representative, Maurice Onyango Aloo, has expressed fears for his life saying that the criminals who escaped had attacked and shot him a fortnight ago.

“I will not take the matter lightly. I fear for my life and that of my family following the reports that I have been getting from various quarters,” he said.

Speaking at the police station, Aloo said that the two suspects among those who escaped and were linked to his earlier shooting had started giving key revelations on the whole team that was linked to the incident.

He now needs the unusual escape be investigated intelligently, arguing that the incident could have been orchestrated to bring his case down.

Aloo, who fears that the escaped suspects linked to his case could follow him, continues that some people had even gone public to threaten that the case will die prematurely.

Kisumu County Police Boss Nelson Njiri confirmed that some of the suspects who escaped included hard core suspects who were charged with robbery with violence, and murder, among other serious crimes.

Aloo was shot on the thigh by unknown suspects and robbed of his 10 thousand shillings.
