Speaking at Kiamaiko on Monday the MCA said buying ward administrators vehicle is not a necessity.

Led by Ngewa Ward MCA, Karungo Thang'wa, the MCA said they will not support Kabogo's move to buy ward administrators vehicles.

The MCAs who include James Njenga (Kiambu Township Ward), Muiru Ngugi (Ndumberi) and Sammy Wanyambura (Gituamba) have said that governor's decision is ill informed.

"What we are saying is that the money he want to spend on more than 60 vehicles be used to repair the impassable roads in the county," said Njenga.

On his part Ngugi said that they will not pass the supplementary budget.

"We are not going to bow to anybody's pressure to pass the budget; our point is clear we want roads not vehicles. Which roads will the vehicles be using because the existing ones are in deplorable condition," said Ngugi.

The MCAs also demanded that the governor returns to the county headquarters, Kiambu Town. Currently, Kabogo has his offices in Thika town.

"The main reason for devolution was to bring services closer to the residents. Kiambu people desire to have the headquarters centrally located,” said Thang'wa.
