Bungoma County Governor Ken Lusaka has found himself on the receiving end after a section of Members of County Assembly (MCAs) affiliated to the New Ford Kenya Party in Kakamega accused him of 'selling' the party to Jubilee.

In a press statement read by Namamali MCA Kelvin Olengo, the members claimed that they were not consulted over the matter and that they were shocked to realize that the party has been dissolved.

"We are shocked that our party has been dissolved without wide consultations. There are many parties that make up Jubilee coalition and none of them has been so far dissolved, why New Ford Kenya?" he asked.

The leaders vowed not to join Jubilee and declared that they are going to rally their supporters to ignore the call to join Jubilee.

"This party is not a personal property, they would have sought for views from many stakeholders including the electorate but not a few individuals to sit down in a boardroom and come out and announce that the party had been disbanded," said a statement from the leaders.

This comes even as President Uhuru Kenyatta hosted a section of the Luhya leaders from New Ford Kenya at State House on Wednesday.
