Isaac Motari, Kisii County Youth Jubilee secretary general claimed that county MCAs for sleeping on their job instead of releasing the funds to help learners settle school fee balances.

"County MCAs have failed to pass laws so that the money can be disbursed towards for learners to apply. The money has not been released because there are no laws to legalize the funds to be out," he said.

Motari accused the MCAs of making trips to far areas something that has affected the activities of the assembly.

"Just recently the MCAs used millions of shillings for a benchmarking trip to Mombasa but funds meant for bursary has not been released. It is bad that the electorates elected underperformers and selfish leaders who are only interested in filling their stomachs," he said.

He called on the Jubilee MCAs at the assembly who are the minority to push the opposition MCAs to pass laws which will lead to development in the region.

"We need development, not benchmarking trips. I am appealing to Jubilee MCAs in the assembly to push opposition MCAs who are higher in number to pass laws which will see Kisii County develop," he added.

He was speaking in Kisii town on Monday.
