Kisumu County residents have challenged the county government to distribute resources equitably in all regions to foster unity and co-existence.
Speaking on Thursday, nominated MCA Farida Salim challenged the county government to ensure resources were distributed equitably to all regions in the county.
Salim noted that distribution of resources like bursaries, roads, hospitals and other social amenities has to be done carried out without discrimination.
Salim emphasised for proper regional balance when it comes to leadership, job opportunities and resource allocation.
“We need to distribute resources equitably to every part as all people deserve better services,” said Salim.
She challenged other counterparts to help the county government to ensure that there is fair distribution of resources in the county.
Nominated MCA Caroline Ogot pushed for equitably distributed resources to benefit all residents.
“Equitable distribution of resources fosters development alongside unity and therefore we encourage resources to be distributed equitably,” said Ogot.
The two leaders were speaking in Kisumu social hall at forum to improve the region standards.
