Members of the county assembly in Isiolo want the executive to put in place proper waste management measures in order to attract investors.
Isiolo County Assembly Majority Leader Isaack Abduba Fayo said the county is set for a mega development projects under Vision 2030 but its solid waste disposal is wanting posing a health hazard and scaring away investors.
"The county must have proper waste management to curb diseases associated with dirty environment. Business will be smooth if the business environment is clean as well investors can only invest in the county if there is proper management," he said.
"Dumping sites should placed at strategic points by the relevant authority to ensure residents dispose waste products correctly," he added.
He challenged governor Kuti to prioritize making the county clean by providing clean water to residents, better drainage system and clean business environment at all business markets and centers.
