JAP’s Nakuru branch Vice Chairperson Joseph Bett claimed that MCAs have been so quiet about the new party and asked them to break their silence and market the new party.

Speaking on Tuesday at JAP offices in Nakuru Bett said that the MCAs are in a better position to market the party to the people at the grassroots since they are in constant contact with the people unlike MPs who spend most of their time in Nairobi.

“Since JAP was formed, our MCAS have been so quite about the issue and we are not hearing them talk about the new outfit. As the interim officials, we want to call upon them to go to the ground and sell JAP to the people because the common man will not understand what JAP is all about unless they are told,” said Bett.

Nakuru JAP Chairperson James Karimi said that Members of Parliament from the county have shown commitment in marketing the new party and challenged MCAs to emulate the same.

“The MCAs need to understand that JAP is the only vehicle they will use to seek re-election in 2017 and if they do not market it then other people will do it and they will have no party to sponsor them,” said Karimi.
