Speaking during the county assembly proceedings on Thursday, Miu ward MCA, Oliver Nzeki, accused Nzioka of funds mismanagement.

The legislators presented a report on the floor of the house on the need to replace finance county executive following 2014-2015 budget faults.

“The finance department has failed. There is a lot of public funds not accounted for. The committee has noticed many errors of omission and commission its reports,” said Nzeki.

Nzeki further said that the report the Minister presented was distorted, a prove that there is corruption going on.

“The revenue report from the finance has distorted facts that do not reflect in the various projects indicated. Mavoko constituency is the most affected,” notes Nzeki.

The MCAs called upon Machakos Governor to ensure that the legal process is followed to settle the matter.

“The concerned officers need to be censored, prosecuted and if found guilty replaced immediately to avoid further mismanagement of public funds,” said Nzeki.
