Aga Khan Hospital medical director Dr Sam Oula says the MCA is in stable condition adding that the bullet did not get lodged in the body.

He says the MCA was admitted there last night with minimal bleeding on the left thigh which was shot but was attended to by the doctors.

Dr Oula says the MCA will be taken to theatre for proper check-up but will be hopefully discharged today.

Nyando MP Fred Outa visited him at the hospital and condemned the incident adding that police must move with speed to get the suspects.

A host of MCAs from the Kisumu County Assembly led by the Majority Leader Samuel Ongow visited the MCA at the hospital and condemned the incident.

Ong’ow says police must move with speed and arrest the culprits adding that the suspects even left a phone at the scene which is a leading clue to their identities.

“This calls for arming MCAs and the government must do something about it,” He said.

The MCA was robbed of cash and other valuables during the incident with armed robbers.
