There were mixed reactions in Nyamira County Assembly following the removal of Governor John Nyagarama portraits which had been mounted on streetlights on major roads in the county.During a debate over the matter, Nominated MCA Fred Menge commended the move saying it will give advertisers an opportunity to market their produce."I commend the removal of Honourable Nyagarama's portraits from the billboards and I am happy because the move Mr Speaker will attract investors who will want to advertise their products," said Menge. On his part nominated MCA William Atati opposed the move saying there was no need for such a move since the portrait didn't occupy the entire space."I don't see why Governor Nyagarama's portraits should be removed from the billboards as if they had occupied all the available space and that is one way to advertising our county," said Atati.
