A group of Kitui members of County assembly has accused the area Governor Charity Ngilu for allowing the county executive to work before vetting.Assembly Majority leader Peter Kalonzo led 30 MCAs on Thursday in raising concerns on how Ngilu had started running her administration."Our specific concerns are that the governor is conducting the affairs of the county without following the constitution, how can she allow unvetted executives to work before approval," Kilonzo said. They spoke at Kitui assembly. Kilonzo said that the will not be used as a "mere rubber stamp." He said that Ngilu's cabinet had started working hence "overlooking the role of the county assembly."Assembly minority leader John Kisangau dismissed the allegations as false and unfounded."The Wiper MCAs are just reacting to rumors. No county executive committee member has assumed office before vetting and approval by the assembly," Kisangani said.Kisangani said that Ngilu is acting within the law to introduce her nominees in public for residents to know them before vetting.
