Kisii County MCAs more so those elected through ODM ticket have come out strongly to defend the Kisii county leadership.
This comes after a section of their colleagues threatened to table a motion of impeaching Governor Ongwae for alleged misuse of public funds.
Addressing the press on Tuesday at Kisii sports club led by Haron Masase from Masige East Ward Bobasi sub-county, he accused his colleagues of saying that they have been misleading the public about the allocations which were allocated to Ogembo health centre.
Masesa stated that the county MCAs have never passed any budget allocating Sh300 million to Ogembo health center as the other MCAs are saying.
He urged called them to avoid misleading the public about the allocations which have been done in various financial years.
Denis Ombachi from Marani Ward in Kitutu Chache North also a chairman of assembly budget committee said that the other group which is supporting the Obomo Bwo Mogusii are blackmailing residents by exaggerating figures in creating hostility between the county leader and residents.
He added that they have confidence in the leadership of governor James Ongwae who is busy working towards developing the county.
Leader of majority Protus Moindi called upon the MCAs who are accusing the leadership of the county to come into the floor of the assembly and table motions without going outside misleading the public.
“People cannot go outside and start propagating matters by exaggerating figures to the residents, let them come out in the floor of the assembly so that we can articulate the issues,” said Moindi.
The other Group which is led by Deputy Speaker Evans Mokoro on Sunday while at Nyataro accused the leadership of the county by saying that there is corruption within the county.
