Mombasa MCAs led by the county assembly speaker Thadius Rajwayi have praised the budget that was presented to the house by the finance committee.
The house approved the devolved governments supplementary budget of 9.9 billion shillings for the 2015/2016 financial year that was presented by Mtongwe MCA Hamisi Mwidani.
Mwidani had called upon the MCAs to pass the budget, noting that it was fair and balanced.
On his part, Speaker Thadius Rajwayi praised the executive for coming up with a fair and equitable budget.
Nominated MCA Sarah Nyamvula, also lauded the budget noting that all the funds found therein were already committed to development projects.
"The passing of the budget by the assembly was a step in the right direction as it will pave way for the county government to spend the allocated funds on stalled projects,” said Sarah.
