Elementaita ward MCA Moses Ndung’u Kamau sponsored the motion into the House and received a massive support from other MCAs.

The MCA said the water boards will comprise of about 9 members who will be nominated by the local community including the ward administrator.

“The ward boards will ensure there is plenty supply of water in the wards. The board members will help the county government in identifying areas where boreholes should be drilled to increase the availability of water across the county,” he said.

Kamau added that once the board members start work, water shortage in the county will be a past tense.

He called on the community to nominate members who will dedicate their time to work and ensure residents get access to clean and plenty water for consumption and domestic uses.
