MCAs in Nakuru County are now complaining over the delay of their November salaries.
Speaking outside the county assembly on Tuesday, the MCAs said that they normally receive their salaries on the 25th of every month but they are yet to receive their November salary.
Kaptembwa MCA Daniel Ambale told the media yesterday that the Controller of Budget and Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) were playing games with with the MCAs salaries.
"Most of the MCAs fear that their property may be attached by the banks due to loans if they do not pay their mortgages and loans on time. This is a very serious matter and if we are not paid soon, we might end up losing a lot of personal properties," Ambale said.
Kabazi MCA Joseph Ngugi agreed with Ambale saying that the Controller of Budget and the CRA should honour its obligation and pay them the way it has been doing.
"Currently we have not received any formal information on why our salaries are being delayed. Most of us depend on the salaries and we have lots of responsibilities," Ngugi said.
