MCAs who opposed the budget proposal include Aggrey Ogosi of Some East who said the Executive had failed to ensure equitable allocation of the funds.

“We can not adopt the report since several projects including those that started in the last financial year have stalled due to skewed allocation of resources," said the MCA.

Kisumu County Assembly Budget Committee chairman Willis Ogonyo also faulted the Excutive on inability to involve the MCAs in budget drafting exercise.

The budget aimed at paying contractors, maintaining roads, transfer of funds, county executive gratuity provision, maternity services, assorted drugs supply and County Assembly Provider Fund Transfers.
