Members of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Committee on Appointment have retreated to an unknown place so as to discuss on the suitability of 10 County Executive Committee Members nominated by governor Jackson Mandago.

This is after the Committee concluded the public vetting of the CeCs on Thursday.

During the three-day vetting process, none of the 10 CeCs had a petition filed against them from members of the public."We vetted the nominees fairly.

All of them were asked tough questions and it's now up to how they performed and be sure if there's anyone who members will feel not qualified enough, his/her name will be rejected," said a member of the committee who sought anonymity.

The Committee chaired by Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat is expected to table a report on that will either approve or reject, all or some of the nominees.

"We expect to table the report on this vetting exercise on Thursday for debate by the whole house," Kiplagat said at the end of vetting, Thursday.

Once approved by the Assembly names of the CeCs will be sent back to the governor for formal appointment followed by their swearing in.
