Garissa County members of the Public Investment committee, Accounting and Finance Committee on Wednesday stormed the county treasury's offices demanding for immediate readmission of the County executive Committee boss for Finance, Ahmed Aden, who was sacked by Governor Nathif Jama on Monday.
The members of the committee urgued that it was incorrect for the governor to handpick his deputy, Abdullahi Hussein in an acting capacity.
Led by Noor Osman, the county assembly members accused Governor Jama of being an overly interested party in the appointment of the current finance CeC, and demanded for an explanation on the time limit that the Deputy Governor will preside over the position in the acting capacity.
In an interview with a local daily, Mogadashe MCA, Abdikadir Mahat pointed fingers to the Deputy Governor for closing sub-offices and forcing the members of staff to work from the corridors.
