Led by Kivumbini ward representative Vitalis Otieno, the MCAs accused the finance executive of slowing down the activities of the house over delays to provide the report to the house.

The MCAs said that the report details how funds allocated by the National Treasury were spent and that it requires debate and deliberations by the county assembly.

“We are concerned over failure by the county finance boss to present the funds allocation report to the assembly. The failure is slowing house business which should not be the case,” said Otieno.

The MCA said that they will be forced to compel the executive to present the report to the house for debate.

Otieno observed that delays in presentation of reports and other information by the county executives has slowed down the activities of the house, in the process affecting passing of crucial motions.
