A section of county assembly Members has threatened to file a case against Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua for defamation.
Speaking during a rally in Mulu Mutisya, the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leaders referred to the MCAs “thieves in suits and prostitutes of poverty”.
The MCAs have vowed to table a motion seeking to impeach him this week. Addressing the public on Sunday at Katoloni, the MCAs claimed that the governor had not only maligned them but also demeaned their stature.
Led by deputy speaker Nathaniel Nganga, the MCAs affirmed that will remove Mutua from office before the end of his term.
According to the politicians, they will table a motion to oust him even before he takes Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to court for linking him to Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala’s kid a few days ago.
“I have heard him say he will take [Wiper leader] Kalonzo [Musyoka] to court for linking him to the abduction of [Deputy Governor Bernard] Kiala’s daughter. I want to let him know that before he does that, we’ll be the first to jail him for defaming us,” Nganga said, as quoted by the Star.
The MCAS also challenged Mutua to prove that Wiper gave them cash to impeach him.
“We’re not backing off from our agenda to send him home for failing to account for the county cash his administration has stolen,” said Rachael Nduku, who is the MCA Mlolongo.
