Gachagua was speaking at his Nyeri home on Saturday, where he expressed confidence in overturning the impeachment once it is addressed by the senate.

He added that there is no single proof of all the things he is alleged to have done.

Gachagua also blamed a gubernatorial aspirant who lost in 2013 elections for the political battles he is going through, further citing disappointment with the speaker who allowed the motion to take place in the absence of his lawyer, who was supposed to defend him.

Gachagua alleged that his lawyer was denied entry to the chambers, and in what appeared as a defense mechanism, Gachagua accused the MCAs of misusing the government funds on Friday night with beer.

"Do you know that the MCAs used over Sh100,000 yesterday with beer?" questioned Nderitu.

The MCAs had spent a whole night at the chambers to pass the impeachment motion fearing to be blocked from accessing the chambers.

The governor is accused of embezzlement funds and also failing to assent to various bills handed to him, and also the 2016 budgets due to his selfish interests.
