Three Garissa MCAs from the Finance, Public Investment and Public Accounting committees have demanded that Governor Jama revokes the appointment of his Deputy Abdullahi Hussein into the Finance docket at an acting capacity.

Led by Noor Osman, the MCAs want the appointment be cancelled on allegations that Abdullahi was mistreating junior staff working for the county government.

It is only a week ago that county assembly members blasted Governor Jama for being an interested party in the recent appointment of this deputy as the acting finance CeC.

The MCAs had also demanded for an explanation on the time limits that the Deputy Governor will head the docket in the acting capacity.

Governor Jama in the past one month has come under strong criticisms from local leaders with accusations of entertaining corruption and practicing nepotism in public appointments.
