Maina denied that the MCAs are fighting Governor Lee Kinyanjui’s administration.

“County MCAs are not fighting Governor Kinyanjui as claimed by local politicians who are idlers. The MCAs are only carrying out their constitutional roles to ensure development is realized in the region. The ward representatives won’t sit and watch Kinyanjui misusing county funds,” he said.

The Speaker said criticism will continue to ensure the executive works as required.

“We want the fruits of devolution to be realized in the county especially at the grassroots level and for this reason, the assembly will continue to criticize failures of the executive so that they can pull up their efforts to offer quality service delivery to the people of Nakuru without sidelining regions,” he added.

He said Nakuru residents will be involved in making development decisions in the county to avoid unnecessary opposition of projects to be launched and initiated.

Maina assured that the MCAs will concentrate in passing motions and bills based on development for the purpose of improving livelihoods in the region.
