Deputy President William Ruto has poked fun at NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula over their failed attempt to clinch the presidency.
Speaking during the burial of the late Vice President Wamalwa Kijana's wife Yvonne at Milimani in Kitale, Ruto said that he and President Uhuru Kenyatta had prepared themselves and there will not be another election until 2022.
Wetangula who failed to stand to show respect to the DP when he stood to speak was left with an egg on his face after Ruto referred to him as a friend much to the applause of the mourners.
Ruto left the crowds in stitches after telling Wetangula that he could teach the four-Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi- how to win in the elections.
Wamalwa died last month at the Nanyuki Cottage Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Her sister Stephanie Muite told mourners that Wamalwa developed complications after which she was rushed to the hospital where she passed on shortly after admission.
The late Yvonne married Kijana Wamalwa in 2003 but he died in August the same year.
