According to a witness, a defiant customer hacked the butcher's finger when he was asked to settle his bill at a local butchery before making a quick exit from the business premises.

It is at this point the suspect met a man coming from the opposite direction who attempted to help the crowd capture him.

In the confrontation, the suspect stabbed and killed the innocent man on the spot with the same knife he had used on his first victim.

Thika Deputy OCPD Julius Chumbule confirmed the incident and urged bodaboda operators not to take the law in their hands.

"We have laws in this country that must be followed all the time. I urge all members of public to follow the law whenever they capture a suspect and hand over them to the authority," said Chumbule.

The butcher was rushed to Thika Level Five hospital.
