The media has been blamed for allegedly misreporting the cause of death of three children belonging to Kapsoya MCA aspirant, James Ratemo. The family spokesman Charles Nyamweya, said some media houses have reported that the cause of their death was related to land 'which is not true'. "I was saddened by some media houses reporting that James Ratemo sold family land in Kisii town which caused misunderstanding between him and the brother who is the main suspect. Those are false allegations with Ill motive," he said at the aspirants home, Sunday."The father of the deceased was born in Uasin Gishu County and has never been a residence of Kisii town. Where did they get the information," he wondered. "I am the official spokesperson of the family and no information should be reported without my approval," he added. He reiterated, Kenyans should stop speculating on the cause of the kids' death and wait for the police to conduct thorough investigations. However, Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga said investigations were underway and soon Kenyans would know what transpired.[James Ratemo's family spokesman Charles Nyamweya addressing the press, Sunday, May 21, 2017.
