The media has been accused of misreporting the Kiala's daughter kidnap case.

According to some local TV stations, Kiala's daughter Kathleen Nduku was not kidnapped but she was at her boyfriend's house. 

It is not clear where they got the information from as neither the daughter nor the investigating officers were asked anything about the matter. 

Kiala's daughter went missing about a week ago and Wiper party leader accuses Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua of being behind the kidnapping.

It is not clear whether any arrests have been made so far since the matter has been turned political.
