Kiprono said such materials will only encourage perpetrators to continue executing their illegal activities.

Speaking at a Kisumu hotel during a two-day journalist workshop Kiprono challenged writers to avoid writing materials praising terrorists attack.

"I am urging you to refrain from glorifying terror activities while reporting. This will help to avoid causing a state of anarchy in the country," said Kiprono.

He however, asked the state to avoid intruding in media reporting.

“It is Media Council of Kenya job to regulate media reporting. The state should therefore, avoid intruding in their work,” said Kiprono.

Kiprono said that journalists should stick to media ethics while reporting.
