Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo has warned that hate speech and inciting resident through media will not earn anyone fame or popularity, but It will bring about hatred, disunity and wrangles in the county.

Governor Kabogo was speaking in Lusegetti area of Kiambu County on Saturday where he gave 8 ambulances to serve kikuyu sub-county and told Kiambu leaders be going to his office to clarify issues instead of doing that through the media.

Kabogo said that he will not talk ill about the area MP Kimani Wa Ichung’wa, who has been criticising his leadership citing that he ceased talking politics when he was elected governor.

He claimed that leaders who have been taking the forefront in protests and talking ill of the county government in the media want to sabotage the county government adding that they will not manage.

Kabogo however sent a warning message to those, he claimed to be dividing Kiambu people, saying that Kiambu people should focus on working together as a force to ensure development projects in the county is progressing.

He said that the residents need a leader who is not shaken by politicians who do not have the guts to face him but to keep gibbering in the media.

“The media is not my office, why do they not have the guts to come to my office and tell me personally about things they feel are not ok? This is because they are just inciting the public against the county government. If you want to continue talking in the media I have no time for you since my focus is development. I am sending a warning to those who have proposed the county government to be broken. I want to tell him that that will not be possible in Kiambu,” exclaimed Kabogo.

He said that politicians opposing his leadership should meet him in his office to discuss matters affecting the area residents.

He said that Kiambu County residents have noted the development he has facilitated which the leaders pretend not to notice.
