The media has been applauded for helping the ministry of education in delivering credible exams.
According to Education Principal Secretary, Bellio Kipsang, the media has helped the education sector revive and gets its credibility that had been lost in the past few years through exam cheating and loss.
Speaking on Monday morning while overseeing the opening of the examination container at Kisii County headquarters Kipsang added that they believe that they have done their best and the results outcome will be out of merit as there is no cheating that has been reported so far in most of the counties.
“The press has been giving us positive feedback on our efforts to ensure that we curb the cheating that had risen to another level and they have given good coverage of the national exams compared to the early years,” he added.
He added that they will ensure that relationship between the media and the education ministry continues to ensure that the exams given out to students have credibility.
Kipsang also called upon the teachers to ensure that they are not involved in any kind of cheating as that will land them in jail.
