Nyamira Women Representative Alice Chae seized the 10th-anniversary celebrations of Egesa FM to hail Royal Media Services founder S.K Macharia for empowering social-economic and political activities in the society.
Macharia’s Royal Media services investments have created numerous jobs to Kenyans ranging from News editors and correspondents in his numerous radio stations and Citizen Television.
Chae who was the brain child behind the launching of Egesa FM which broadcasts in Gusii dialect lauded Macharia as a living example of a Kenyan determined to unite people.
“I must start by thanking Royal Media founder S. K Macharia for his entrepreneurial mind that has resulted in the creation of many jobs," she said.
"He has promoted social-economic activities in our society and we must recognise that as a community,” said Chae.
“The Royal Media services have remained one of the greatest media entity determined to unite Kenyans through objective reporting,” she added.
She said the country could realise longtime integration if all Kenyans emulates Macharia’s approach in fighting tribalism which threatens societal integration.
"Royal Media services have employees from all parts of the country. He welcomes competent Kenyans to his media industry without subjecting them to tribal or clan prejudices," said Chae.
"He is a living example worth to be emulated,” Chae added.
She also hailed Egesa FM for objective reporting and subsequent social cooperate responsibility to the Abagusii community.
“Our Egesa station has played its roles well. It has remained steady in executing its educating, informing and entertaining roles," said Chae.
"I am also happy that Macharia has empowered it to carry out social cooperate responsibility to our community,” she said.
