Members of the press have been barred from attending the requiem mass of the late former ambassador and former Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) chairman Bethuel Kiplagat.
Kiplagat, 81, passed away on Friday, July 14, while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
Kiplagat’s family has prohibited any photographers and/or videographers from covering the service.
According to a statement from the family, they want privacy during the mass which would be held at St Mark's Church in Westlands, Nairobi, Thursday, July 20.
"The family has requested for privacy during this difficult time and therefore no photography and/or videography will be allowed at the service," read part of the statement.
The family however noted the media will be provided with the footage once the mass comes to an end.
Kiplgat will be buried Saturday, July 22, in Mosoriot, Nandi county.
