Former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro now wants the media to stop covering NASA leader’s political events.
The former legislator notes that politics ended and that NASA leaders should not be given airtime and space to propagate malicious politics.
The former ODM MP said that NASA's unending politics is creating anxiety in the country.
Speaking to journalists in Malindi Town on Friday, the former ODM MP said that election period ended and that it is time for the country to move and not to be dragged into dirty politics.
He claimed that some NASA leaders are using rallies to advocate for division and perpetuate hatred among Kenyans.
“The media should be responsible and stop giving unwarranted airtime and space to politicians who are preaching secession and tribal politics,” he said.
Mung’aro claimed that NASA’s plot is to drag the country into unending politics with aim of destabilizing Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
The former MP said that Kenyans are tired of NASA’s political sideshows and want to build their lives after a long election process in 2017.
NASA’s push to swear in Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the people's president and deputy president respectively has gained momentum with the coronation set for January 30.
The opposition maintains that it does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as president.
NASA has lined up a series of events and meet the people tours ahead of Raila-Kalonzo swearing in on January 30 at Uhuru park.
On Thursday, the US government through ambassador Robert Godec warned NASA against the planned swearing in urging it to seek dialogue with President Kenyatta’s government on electoral reforms.
