The Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has challenged the media industry in the country to exercise a lot of responsibility as the country gears for the repeat presidential alections.Speaking in an interview with KTN on Sunday, Mutua underscored the need for the media to vet some of the political analysts they bring on board noting that a number of them were actually party loyalists who were hellbent on entrenching political party positions at the expense of unpacking content. The outspoken former journalist further urged the media to ensure that they come up with measures to regulate what they air especially on live coverage of political activities saying a lot of negativities resulting from such events were reaching the public."The media needs to come up with measures of reducing the negative contents arising from those live political coverages. Most if them end up on the public domain which may negatively impact negatively on the peace and tranquility of tgis nation," he said.
