Women in Kenya have said enough is enough. Several women have declared war on men who are not ready to deliver in different capacities including governorship.
In Kirinyaga Ms Anne Waiguru has affirmed that she will be on the ballot box amidst the National Youth Service (NYS) saga.
In Bomet, Governor Isaac Ruto is having sleepless nights after National Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr Joyce Laboso joined the race to unseat him as Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire goes for the Embu governorship in the upcoming polls.
Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua is also a restless man after former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti promised to give him a run for his money come August.
Despite being among governors who stand a high chance of being elected, Mutua will have to pitch tents in different parts of the county to retain his seat.
Martha Karua has also joined Ms Waiguru in the race for Kirinyaga governorship. Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru is contesting for the Nairobi Jubilee ticket while Former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has vowed to unseat Dr Julius Malombe.
On the other hand, Mabel Muruli is out to unseat Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in Kakamega while Trans Nzoia, nominated senator Catherine Mukiite fights for the area’s governorship.
The Nandi governor has not been spared either, Yulita Chebotip is battling it out for the Jubilee ticket as she goes for the region’s top seat.
