This is because he has put up a tomato greenhouse in Menyinkwa area Kisii County where he has planted hybrid tomatoes.

"After retiring from the police service, I used Sh 300,000 to start a greenhouse and am not regretting," he said.

Mr Moracha a father of three now says that he earns Sh 40,000 per week from the greenhouse.

This, he said made him save enough cash that saw him start doing zero grazing which has seen him get over 30 litres of milk per day.

"I get more than Sh 10,000 from selling milk per week," he said.

He said that he harvests the tomatoes weekly for eight months before replacing the plant.

With his earnings, Mr Moracha is able to cater for all his family bills including paying school fees for his brother's kids.

However, his journey has not been smooth as he has undergone various downfalls in his business.

"Tomatoes has very tough infections which are expensive to deal with," he said.

Mr Moracha advised the youths to venture into agriculture as it is one of the best paying hustles and lacks tough competition.

"I ask youths to venture in self employment and they will not regret," he said.
