Solomon Kiptarbei has amused many, after he announced his bid to unseat Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago, in the upcoming August 8, general elections.
Using his ‘black mamba’ type of bicycle, the youthful aspirant is cris-crossing Eldoret streets, and other Uasin Gishu trading centres, with posters, campaigning.
He on Tuesday said he had no money or wealth to organise for expensive systems to help him campaign, such as hiring vehicles.
Alongside few of his supporters, Kiptarbei expressed optimism that he would win the Jubilee Party nomination ticket, during nominations, April 21.
According to him, leadership is not about wealth or riches, but what one has in mind for other people.
He is expected to face it off with Deputy President William Ruto's aide, Mandago alongside other renown gubernatorial aspirants.
Mandago is seeking for a re-election.
