Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku is a talented marathoner from Machakos County. Born on born 9 October 1992 in Machakos, Ndiku defied all odds to rise to stardom. The long distance runner is the son of David Ndiku, a renowned javelin thrower. Unlike his father, Caleb chose a different path in life and indeed he is an achiever. The talented marathoner started his career in domestic cross country competitions.

At 16, he appeared for the Athletics Kenya series in Meru where he emerged the fifth best. His prowess and zeal to succeed saw him selected for the 2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics. He later won a silver medal in Brixen behind Gideon Kiage Mageka after running for 3:38.42.

He opted to return to the local circuit where he finished fourth in another Athletics Kenya series race in Nairobi. The hardworking athlete rose to greater heights when he was selected for the 2010 IAAF World Cross Country Championships during the Kenya National Cross Country Championships after he completed in the fourth position. In 2011 he began working with Italian coach Renato Canova.  

Canova is among the persons Ndiku cannot forget when it comes to success in his career. He took advantage of the skills he had acquired from the Italian to become the runner was runner-up at the Trofeo Alasport in March in the 5000 meters.

 2014 was among his greatest years after he won several titles including  World Indoor Championships (3000m), the Diamond League (5000m),  Commonwealth Games (5000m) African Championships (5000m) and the Continental Cup (3000m) (14 September).
