Chepkorir revealed the reason behind her venturing into the job before quitting it to home businesses.

"I began touting five years ago within Eldoret town and the outskirts of the town but I left it this year to increase my income," she said.

The mother of three says she left the job earlier this year after accumulating enough capital with the help of her husband and secured a plot in her Kesses hometown.

"My husband who is a large-scale maize farmer secured a loan and with my little capital we bought a plot in Kesses and we build business premises where we installed three table pools and a video hall," said Chepkorir.

"Though we are still new in these businesses, we earn between Sh5,000 to Sh8,000 daily, every pool gives us around Sh2,000 daily and other incomes from the video hall," she narrated.

With the ongoing 2018 World Cup, Chepkorir has been making good returns from her business.

"Since the start of 2018 World Cup, our daily incomes are doubling for example in our video hall we charge Sh30 per game which accumulate a close to 100 people thus Sh3,000 per game and with three games played per day we make Sh9,000 on video and overall of around Sh15,000 daily," she said.

"With the earnings, we are paying fees for our two children in private schools and also paying back the loan we had borrowed," noted Chepkorir while encouraging those jobless to search for jobs.
