These were the words of Fred Kennedy who emerged hivisasa's top writer for the week that ended Friday June 17.

Mr Kennedy was declared winner of the Sh10,000 weekly cash award given to the writer whose stories record the highest number of page views.

The graduate of Journalism from Daystar University outclassed the over 800 hivisasa writers to emerge best in the third week since the competition was launched.

"Getting to write interesting stories and sharing them to relevant audiences was the magic," he said in a Saturday interview with this writer.

"Facebook and WhatsApp are prime destinations. I also share them on Twitter where I have a great following by local news agencies."

He was crowed ahead of last week's winner, Abuga Makori Jnr, who interesting has managed to lift the number one trophy twice, walking away with a cool Sh20,000.

Mr Abuga, however, despite losing the top position, emerged first runner up ahead of his closest challenger, Ngetich Tuiya.

The two will walk away with Sh5,000 and Sh2,000 respectively.

And to the man who outsmarted him, Abuga had this to say: "I congratulate him and I know he's extremely talented. This coming week, I am ready for the challenge."

Hivisasa every week picks its top writers- number one, two and three- basing on the number of the page views their stories generate.

The writer whose stories record the highest number of page views gets Sh10,000, while the second and third receive Sh5,000 and Sh2,000.

The competition is open and anyone who writes for hivisasa can win.
